A Tailgate Tag Sale Like No Other!
Back by popular demand, Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport will hold its 3rd Annual Trinity Tailgate Tag Sale on Saturday, June 23rd from 9:00am - 2:30pm to benefit its community outreach ministries.
Think of it as a big Tailgate Party! To participate one simply has to buy a Parking Spot. Whatever goods you have to sell - from antiques, to items you have in your shop, to items you simply no longer want, this is THE place to sell them. It's like the best of all flea and antique markets all wrapped into one, on a much smaller, more manageable scale. There are some seriously good finds here! The cherry on top is that Trinity provides all advertising and social media promotion to drive buyers to the event - and let me tell you, buyers there are!
All are welcome to participate - individuals, families, organizations and local merchants.
Last year the Tag Sale saw over 70 families participating, selling designer clothing and handbags, costume jewelry, children’s party clothes, china, silver, housewares, antiques, sporting goods and more (see photos). Last year’s event also included local merchants A Little Square, Bespoke Designs of Westport, DFM Stationery, the Fairfield Women’s Exchange, Gells, Little River Farm, SouthernAirs.com, Susie Earls Design, and Two Bs Accessories.
Because they know that shopping will make you hungry, you can expect to see several food trucks onsite to fuel you up.
“With Trinity’s Tailgate Tag Sale, our parishioners and neighbors can come together and celebrate our community in a fun way. Everyone has an opportunity to give their used items a new life and to find rare bargains. Best of all, the proceeds of the parking spot sales are used to fund the ministries of our mission partners.”
Community Outreach
Among the groups aided by Trinity’s Outreach program are Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Center for Family Justice, Council for Churches of Greater Bridgeport, Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services (IRIS), Parish Court, St. Luke’s/St. Paul’s Food Pantry, and many more.
Preview Boutique and Cocktail Party
To sweeten up the deal, on Friday, June 22nd at 6:30 p.m. Trinity will again host the Boutique Preview and Cocktail Party where shoppers can get “first dibs” on designer clothing and accessories, brand name housewares & home décor. Attendees can enjoy signature cocktails and appetizers while they shop. Tickets for the Boutique Preview are $40/person or $75/couple, available at:

The Tag Sale is held in the church’s parking lot, located in the village of Southport at the corner of Pequot Avenue and Center Street.
